Charity Auction and Cribs Launch raises nearly £5000
Cornish Cribs Charity Auction - Fund Raising Target £5,000
On the 23rd April 2010 Cornish Cribs held a dinner and black tie charity auction at The Carlyon Bay Hotel to celebrate the official launch of this new and exciting venture.
We would like to thank everyone who attended and made the Cornish Cribs launch the success that it was. The evening was a fantastic achievement and we raised just under £5000 for Help for Heroes and the North2South Cyclists who completed their 9 day, 990 mile endurance cycle ride on Sunday 23rd May 2010 from Dunnett Head in Scotland to The Lizard Peninsula for 3 local charities: Cancer Funding For Cornwall (Reg. Charity No. 1119002) Mullion Gymnastics Centre (Reg.Charity No. 1131635) and the Lizard Lifeboat Appeal (Reg. Charity No. 209603).
The money Cornish Cribs has raised will be split equally between the North2South and for Help For Heroes.
We were very fortunate to have the pleasure of Falklands Veteran Simon Weston OBE and the Help For Heroes representative for Devon and Cornwall, David Gammell make speeches on the evening and again would like to send out our appreciation that they were able to join us in helping to raise as much money as we did.
